Basic Requirements to Adopt

- Your commitment and willingness to accept, love and raise a child to adulthood.
- Ability to manage your income to meet the needs of all members of your family.
- Adequate space in the home to accommodate an adopted child.
- Medical exams, in some cases.
- If married, both parents should be in the home, and the marriage should be a loving and stable one.
- Single persons may adopt. If you are no longer married, you must be legally divorced in order to adopt.
- Be at least 21 years old.

The staff at Children and Family Institute hopes that every family who works with us has an experience that provides an opportunity for growth spiritually and emotionally. We hope that the adoption process will offer each adoptive parent a place to learn more about themselves, about the birth families and the children waiting.
