Basic Requirements to Adopt
|

|
|
|
|
- Your commitment and willingness to accept, love and raise a child to adulthood.
- Ability to manage your income to meet the needs of all members of your family.
- Adequate space in the home to accommodate an adopted child.
- Medical exams, in some cases.
- If married, both parents should be in the home, and the marriage should be a loving and stable one.
- Single persons may adopt. If you are no longer married, you must be legally divorced in order to adopt.
- Be at least 21 years old.
